Whitewood Saskatchewan - Medicine Hat Alberta
Left The Whitewood Inn at 8:30 AM
People warned us the the prairies would be boring. We rode through miles and miles and miles of farmland. It did get monotonous. We are just seeing the farms near the highway. With all that farmland it's hard to imagine why Canada can't feed the entire planet. We didn't take many pictures for two reasons; first there was little of interest, second we wanted to get somewhere with a little more to see. Or is that just one reason?
At our last gas stop, we ran into a group of young cyclists (the pedal kind). They were from Vancouver and were on their way to the East coast (no schedule). They looked exhausted. They have been on the road for 3 weeks now and are no where near out of Saskatchewan poor kids - sucks to be them.
Distance today: 639Km Total: 3227 Km

ReplyDeleteNow you are starting to get into the beautiful part of Canada....like I have been telling you all these years Mike, once you see the Okanagan you won't want to go back! Especially after Don takes care of you guys and you spend an evening by the pool, watching the sun set and trying to figure where to ride next.
ReplyDeleteShiny side up pal!
