Left the camp site around 7:00 AM and stopped for breakfast at a Lodge nearby and took the following cool pic.
We rode in the rain almost all day. The scenery was beautiful. We can imagine how much more beautiful it would be on a clear day. Apparently we were now no longer in the Rockies.
We stopped in Revelstoke and Mike called his buddy Don. Mike, Don, Dave, and Pat had travelled from Ottawa to mile 0 in south Florida in Spring of 2008. Don said, "steaks are ready, the beer in fridge, you're about two hours away". "And by the way there is a nice little bar about half way in Grindrod". We made a point of stopping there - great bar. Mike now has the T-shirt and Don doesn't awww..
When we arrived at Don and Janet's we were greeted as though we were royalty - awesome people - everyone should have friends like them. Don was so excited to see Mike again, little kid excited. We had the steaks and beer as promised and we bunked in their RV but not before Mike & Don went for a ride in Kelowna.

Mike and Don rode to the top of the Kelowna hills, overlooking a golf course with beautiful new homes.
We are going to spend an extra day here and ride with Don tomorrow.
Sounds like you guys are having a blast =)
